Hi, my name is Anmarie, and I am 23 years old. My life changed drastically when I was hospitalized for severe anemia. After tests, scans, and surgery, I received devastating news: I had uterine cancer.
However, my journey took an even more challenging turn when I was later diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of uterine cancer called adenosarcoma with rhabdomyosarcoma overgrowth and again a harder turn when we found out what once was going to be 4 months of chemo changed to a year of chemo and radiation. My cancer is stage four, grade three, and I am now fighting every day with everything I have.
This journey has been physically, emotionally, and financially overwhelming. I am currently receiving specialized care from my doctor at Memorial Sloan Kettering, but the costs are staggering. In addition to treatments, medications, and doctor visits, I am also facing significant out-of-pocket expenses, including:
- Moving expenses to secure a safe and accessible living space during my treatment.
- Parking in Manhattan, tolls, and congestion pricing for every trip to see my doctor.
- medication copays
- groceries
- bills
These expenses, combined with the challenges of living with a rare uterine cancer, have made it incredibly difficult to stay afloat. I am humbly asking for your help. Whether it’s through a donation or by sharing my story, your support can make a huge difference in easing the financial strain so I can focus on what truly matters: my fight for survival and recovery.
Every contribution, no matter the size, brings me closer to covering these costs and gives me hope for a brighter future. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, prayers, and generosity. Together, we can take on this fight.
With love and gratitude,
Anmarie
