Hello friends and family.. this isn’t something we would normally do but the time has come where my mother needs to accept and ask for help. She is currently in the hospital with a collapsed lung and is fighting to get herself back to her normal. She is struggling very hard right now as she also has COPD, Emphysema and has been battling lung cancer for some time but as the cancer has started to rapidly grow she has been put on full time oxygen and was made to stop working her full time job which put her in a serious financial hole. She was denied her disability on top of it so she hasn’t had any help aside from her kids when they are able to. Her car broke down and was deemed a total loss, she’s been living without water or electricity for about 2 and a half years now using a generator. Which she has had to purchase approximately 10-15 generators within that time as they kept breaking and no one to fix them for her and her kids and grandkids that live with her.. But now with not being able to work she can’t afford the gas it takes for the generator or for basic day to day things that they need to live. Now with her treatments and radiation she is going to have to start doing there are just some things that are a necessity at this time that she is going to absolutely need to survive.
Anyone who knows my mom - knows how hard she’s worked her entire life for her family. She has been the sole provider for as long as I can remember as my dad always had major health issues, she took care of him right up until his unfortunate passing a year ago.. and life has thrown many curve balls in my mom’s direction since then and she’s handled them all with as much grace as one person can. She has always been the type of person to help people and give to everyone around her even when she didn’t have much to give. She has NEVER asked for a thing in return.
She has raised 5 kids financially basically on her own, 3 of which she graciously adopted when they were babies because that is just the kind of heart she has. She has a beautiful one of a kind heart and soul. She is the glue to our family and that is why I am making this fundraiser on her behalf because she deserves a little bit of ease while she navigates this terribly hard time. She needs a reliable vehicle to get to and from her treatments and she needs a little something to help her get ahead as she fights this detrimental disease.
She has ALWAYS rallied for the people around her so now I am asking that people rally for her and show her a little bit of love and support during this time as she would do the same and always has for others! 🤍
