On October 27, 2025, Jamaica was struck by Hurricane Melissa - one of the most devastating storms in recent history.
Treasure Beach, a small coastal town about 20 miles from where the hurricane made landfall, has been left in catastrophic condition. Homes have been destroyed, roads are blocked, and basic infrastructure has been severely damaged.
This place is dear to my heart. My best friend of 40 years, Cat Moses, has built her life and deep community roots in Treasure Beach. I visit every year and have become close with many of the locals who now face unimaginable loss.
I’ve created this Emergency Mutual Aid Fund to support immediate relief efforts on the ground. 100% of donations will go directly to locals in Treasure Beach for food, water, shelter, and essential needs. Cat will be boots on the ground distributing funds as needed.
Every contribution — no matter the amount — helps rebuild hope in a community that has given me and so many others love, warmth, and belonging.
Please give if you can, and share this widely. Treasure Beach needs us now.
