Pavlo came to the US, Albuquerque specifically to further his education in the BSN program at Brookline College. He is a Ukrainian native and is from the city Chortkiv, where his family remains that incudes his wife and two children. One of his children is in need of heart surgery that was to be done in Kyiv in May but that hospital has been evacuated and bombed by Russians. The patients of that hospital have been moved to Poland and the plan going forward is to get his daughter to Poland to have the needed heart surgery.

In speaking to Pavlo, his concerns are that of the people of Ukraine he wishes to help provide the citizens with protective gear and equipment to help see at night since a lot of attacks are being done at night. He wishes to bring those supplies with him along with food as the stores are empty in neighboring countries like Poland.

He needs to get back to his family and help fight for his country. He stated that “everyone is fighting it is our democracy that is at stake and we must continue to fight for it.” He is so brave and kind. I cannot imagine the fear he has being so far away from his family.

This is a direct fund to help the people of Ukraine and to help Pavlo get back to his family and ensure that they are moved to safety.

I have just spoken to Pavlos mother who is still here in Albuquerque. Pavlo has returned home and has gotten his children to safety. His mother is coordinating donations of both money and supplies for the men and women defending Ukraine. The link to help suppor them is here.
