Hello friends and family! Approximately 3 years ago I created a GoFundMe for my friend Jose in San Pedro La Laguna, in Guatemala. It turns out that GoFundMe won't allow campaigns from Guatemala, so they deleted my account.
I've known this family for 15 years. Ana, Jose's mom, is a close friend of mine. I'm writing in hopes that we can raise some money for his tuition (he has 2 more years) to take some of the pressure off this hard-working, kind, integrous family.
Jose is in his 3rd year of his advanced Nutrition program at Universidad Rafael Landivar in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. This year he's doing clinical hours in a nearby hospital. He needs to pay for his tuition ($1400 per year), plus books and materials, and rent and food in his university town. You know the deal. It all adds up.
Jose an excellent student, studying hard and getting high grades/marks. He is also an extremely caring, honest, and thoughtful human, who wants to help people.
