My mom Cynthia has a 12-year-old daughter and a 9-year-old granddaughter. She has been a full-time caregiver for her son, now 25 years old, who was shot in 2022, leaving him blind, paralyzed, bedridden, and totally dependent on her. This was life changing for my family. During that time, she started making candles as therapy and a way to escape. That turned into a business that she has been trying to get up and running to help her family financially, which in itself has been a struggle and not been doing well at this time.
Now, she is faced with losing her home, which she worked so hard to obtain for her children, especially with the tragedy of my brother, her son needing special accommodations for daily living. She fought long and hard through insurance to get modifications done, and they were completed in the home. She has always helped anyone in need in any way that she can and is greatly loved. She has always been employed and provided our her family. She has a total of 6 children, 3 of whom graduated from high school, 1 in college presently, and 1 who graduated in 2025 and is now in the military.
She never asks for help, but I see my mom is struggling a great deal with bills piling up and nowhere to turn for help right now. She can use all the help and resources that are offered, which will start very soon. As a mom, I know she is emotionally drained while facing a crisis such as this, struggling with what she will tell my siblings/her children that we are losing our home due to foreclosure, and the effect it will have on them. What will be the outcome for my brother , my family? Please help a mom struggling during this crisis and help this family keep our home. Thank you for your support
