I'm a single sole custody dad who is just trying to raise my kiddo. We've been working hard for about 3 years on our business IP&J Cuban Food. It's literally just me and the kid working hard to survive.
Recently we've hit a snag and we REALLY need to find a way to get a food truck to continue what we're doing.
Because of family safety and health reasons I really can't go work a job on anyone's schedule but my child's. I can't go work a normal schedule where I can't have them with me when I work. This is our life. We can't get a loan, we really need our friends and supporters help in making this next step in the process a reality.
I'm originally from Key West but have spent the vast majority of my life in Lexington. My child was born here. It's been a struggle. As a young parent (20) I didn't really know what was ahead of me but after 14 awesome and at times hard years, we're in a really good spot and just need to take that next step. I've worked countless restaurant jobs and had many 60+ hour weeks. Unfortunately for the safety of my child I can no longer work like that. IP&J has been such a blessing and has becoming more popular than I could've imagined. We need to take that next step though or it could all come to an end. Please consider helping us in getting a food truck :) I don't forget people that help my family and there will definitely be some tasty grub in it for you.
