Chris "Big Tex" G.  is a community organizer from North Texas who was arrested after a cop riot at a drag show in Fort Worth and indicted by a grand jury on bogus charges. Tarrant County officials immediately assigned a white collar special prosecutor who has acted at every turn to stall his trial.

Subsequent to his arrest, Chris was served with a quarter million dollar lawsuit on behalf of the New Columbia Movement. NCM is a self-described "Christian-fascist fraternity" that has generated a personality around bullying those they don't agree with.

In North Texas, this has looked like protests alongside more overt Neo-Nazi formations in and around drag shows, attempting to force their way into drag shows and LGBTQ-centric events to harass and dox attendants, and harassing those seeking reproductive healthcare. The lawsuit has thus far amounted to a fishing expedition on behalf of NCM's wealthy benefactors to dissuade anyone of the more left persuasion from political participation.

Aside from typical police aggression and harassment, Chris has been the victim of continued and ongoing five month long stalking campaign lodged by private investigators retained by New Columbia Movement.

Chris is seeking community support to help bolster his funding for legal defense in both his criminal trial and conducting the civil trial pro se.

Three more charges handed down almost three years after the fact.. its giving desperation. After learning of this indictment and subsequent pocket warrants that were issued, Chris surrendered to the Tarrant County Jail among dear friends and family.

We will be back in court next week to attempt to wade through the sludge of the injustice system and move this process forward.

Chris owes $750 to a wonderful saint that fronted bond money, and a $750/month payment at the beginning of September for attorney fees. All donations will be utilized for these two purposes and any surplus will be put towards paying previous debts to his former attorneys. Please keep sharing amd telling Chris's story, all visibility to the cause is invaluable!

An update we had hoped not to have to share:

We are due back in court in two weeks on the announcement docket, most likely for the state to announce they are ready for trial on the misdemeaner. We had half-heartedly hoped this would go away as the charge so ludicrous and transparently manufactured but that was not to be. The state purposefully chose to try both charges individually to draw this out and make this as difficult and costly as possible.

Unfortunately, the trial lawyer that assisted in the first trial will be motioning to withdraw due to the fact that another $7500 trial fee is nearly impossible to come up with at this juncture. There are no hard feelings, the team fought hard to earn the first acquittal, this is just a byproduct of the difficult situation the state has created.

In Tarrant County you do not have a right to have an attorney appointed. The threshold for indigent council is a maximum income of $29,000 for a household of three to qualify for a public defender. This has left the future quite uncertain as we navigate what the next steps will be without an attorney but until August 6th we must hurry up and wait.

In the meantime, repression has increased for everyone in DFW. Right wing propagandists have baselessly worked to smear anyone and everyone who's name is in the system to try to tie them to the Prarieland 15. This has led to visits from the FBI, who have been turned away, and being intermittently followed.

We urgently need to raise $1500 to pay down the balance owed to the former lawyer for trial work and will likely need to raise more in the coming month but unfortunately all we can do is wait for the court to rule. Thank y'all for all the love and help.

Hello friends!

Thankfully, after an intense five day trial the felony assault charge ended with a full aquittal by the jury. Though the most concerning milestones are in the past there is still a dire need to fight two more prospective trials.

Chris still owes $2500 to his trial team that secured the win in his felony trial and there is still the matter of a misdemeanor charge that is not settled. The DA opted to try both charges separately so there will most likely be a second trial and outcome to resolve the bogus "interfering with official duties" accusation.

Secondly, New Columbia Movement has successfully moved to delay the civil trial against Chris until October of 2025 so there will be a dire need for funds to help litigate and pay for various costs such as depositiins and trial transcripts to prepare an adequate defense.

Chris and his support team wish to thank everyone for their support and dedication throughout the insanity of this two year saga and would appreciate all the help we can get to weather this to the end. ❤️
