Hello. I've been unhoused since November, and struggling to find a place, any place to get settled while I attempt some recovery from Long COVID, to no avail.
I'm signed up with NYC Housing Authority, Housing Connect, Section 8, and every other Housing Authority in the area that has an open waiting list.
For the past couple months I've been staying with a friend. However, we are both out of luck. The person they've been renting from for over 2 years now, is selling their house. And they are looking to close asap.
I've been working on my website where I sell merch, my music, and my upcoming novel. However, the site has only made enough so far to give transportation to my doctor appointments, and minimal food. I eat, at maximum, one meal a day, to save money any way I can.
The place that I'm looking to rent, is usually 1800 a month, but due to my situation, the owner of the house is willing to rent it to me for 1500, instead, and that comes with utilities.
I am uncertain of where we are going after the 1st. If anyone can spare just a little, please do so. If you can't, please share this wherever you can, please.
