Ring ring ring…Hello, Dad…dad the house is on fire, What?? It’s gone the house, the house is gone. Dad Dad, Are the dogs still in the house, No I was able to break your bedroom window. I grabbed the girls and threw them onto the roof. I’m cut up dad, I’m scared I don’t know what to do, the house is gone.
I received a phone call on Tuesday June 6, 2023 at 10:30 pm while on Vacation to inform me there was a fire at my home. No one was able to answer my questions, no one was able to address my concerns. I’m oceans away and my dogs are homeless. No way to get through to WellsFargo no idea on how to board up the doors and windows. There’s holes in the roof and water pouring down The stresses just kept building and building. Scanner chasers are lurking watching the fire with dollar signs burning in their eyes and business cards in hand. After talking to WellsFargo who we trusted with our homeowners insurance and never provided us with a copy of our policy at any time during past discussions informed my husband and I that our policy is basic and Does Not Cover our personal property. My home is condemned , my personal property is a total loss and I’m crying on the beach. I’m embarrassed of not properly planning not asking the right questions and most importantly thinking that these big names companies actually care about your protection and well being. All of my Hard Work gone and my treasures are now memories. As hard as this situation is having to ask for help is the hardest. Anything will help and I PROMISE I will pay it forward with Everything I have to give, just like a Phoenix rising up from the ash the only place to go from the bottom is up.
A huge Thank You and all my prayers go out to my Step Son Jay, Step Daughter Lexi and her Husband Chris along with my husbands best friend George for all of their help and love to help get us through this Nightmare in Paradise.
