Molly is 35 years old. She is a wife, mom of 2 (17 and 11), daughter, sister and the best friend anyone could ask for. She is the main income for her family and owns a small business in East San Diego called "Auntie Molly's Grooming". On Tuesday, July 29th, 2025, her life changed in an instant after she was admitted to the hospital for kidney failure.

Okay, hold on, let's take a little trip back a few years. When Molly was in eighth grade, she had been complaining of knee pain for months. After going to the doctor over and over and getting Band-Aid fixes her and mom started to ask questions which lead to deeper testing, and it turned out this "knee pain" was not knee related at all. Molly soon found out that she had "Horseshoe Kidneys", meaning they were combined. They were not only combined they were, as the doctors said, contorted and unlike anything they had ever seen. When they tested her for functionality, they found that she had early onset kidney disease and one kidney was operating at 60% while the other was operating at 40%, so all in all she had one whole functioning kidney. This has continued to be monitored since and just in the last couple of years started to take a SLOW turn. Until now.

When Molly got to the ER on July 29th, her kidney function was at a whopping 2%!!! She is still in the hospital currently and has been given the news of needing a kidney transplant and must be on permanent dialysis until that transplant is completed.

Our goal is to help alleviate some of the financial burden that comes with all of this, just as she would do for anyone else. We understand not everyone is in a place to help financially but if you can help us spread the word, I know we can reach this small goal!
