Help Save Rupert’s Future

Rupert is a beautiful, happy, and loving little boy whose smile lights up every room he enters. He should be spending his days learning, playing, and making happy memories with his family. Instead, he is facing a battle no child should ever have to endure.

After months of hospital admissions, specialist appointments, scans, and extensive testing, Rupert was diagnosed with Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood (AHC), an ultra-rare neurological disorder affecting approximately 1 in 1 million children worldwide.

AHC can cause sudden episodes of paralysis, seizures, breathing difficulties, developmental delays, and life-threatening medical emergencies. Rupert has already experienced terrifying medical episodes, including a frightening moment when he stopped breathing and required emergency resuscitation.

Watching a child fight for every day is something no parent can ever prepare for. Despite everything he has been through, Rupert continues to smile, bringing love and joy to those around him. His courage inspires everyone who meets him.

While Rupert’s medical team and the NHS have provided incredible care, there is currently no cure for AHC. Families like Rupert’s are left hoping that ongoing research, specialist consultations, and future treatment opportunities may offer a better future. Many of these opportunities are being developed internationally, particularly in the United States, but they come with significant financial costs.

How Your Support Helps

Your donation will help support:

• Specialist medical consultations
• Future treatment opportunities and clinical trials
• International travel and accommodation for medical care
• Ongoing research into AHC
• Medical and support expenses related to Rupert’s condition

Every donation, no matter the amount, helps give Rupert and his family hope during this incredibly difficult journey.

If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing Rupert’s story. A simple share can reach someone who may be able to help change Rupert’s future.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read Rupert’s story and for any support you can provide.

With gratitude,

Rupert, his mummy, daddy, and his two big brothers
