Help Send Emma to the Triathlon World Championships in Spain
My name is Emma Burkey, and I am a competitive triathlete and Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Cincinnati. I am excited to share that I have qualified to compete for Team USA at the Sprint and Olympic Distance Triathlon Age Group World Championships in Spain.
This opportunity is the result of years of dedication to triathlon and endurance sports. Throughout the year, I balance training and competition with pursuing my Mechanical Engineering degree, consistently working toward becoming a stronger and more competitive athlete.
This season, I am especially proud to have been named the Ohio State Female Triathlon Champion for the second consecutive year. In 2025, I also ranked 28th nationally in the USA Triathlon Female 20–24 division. These accomplishments have helped me continue progressing toward the opportunity to compete internationally against some of the best age group triathletes in the world.
Competing at the World Championships in Spain is an incredible opportunity and an honor. I will have the chance to represent Team USA while competing on an international stage.
However, competing internationally comes with significant expenses. Race registration, flights, lodging, transportation, equipment, and other travel costs quickly add up. I am creating this GoFundMe to help offset the cost of traveling to Spain and competing at the World Championships.

I am incredibly grateful for the support I have received throughout my athletic career. My family, friends, teammates, coaches, training partners, and supporters have all played an important role in helping me reach this point.
