UPDATED STUDY ABROAD FUND!!! The location for this trip was changed from London, England to Quito, Ecuador due to factors out of my control (the credits from the University in London wouldn't have transferred correctly). While the change was unexpected, I am still so excited for Ecuador and I pray this trip will be so impactful for me!
My name is Lily, and Iām so excited to share that Iāve been accepted into a study abroad program in Quito, Ecuador for the Fall 2026 semester! This opportunity is a dream, and something Iāve only ever hoped I could ever experience during my years in college. I know that not everyone gets the opportunity to study abroad, and that is something Iām beyond grateful for and donāt take lightly!Ā
With this amazing opportunity to go abroad, I sense the Holy Spirit leading me to take part in this trip. I hope to fully immerse myself in the cultureāmaking meaningful connections, building friendships, and embracing experiences outside my comfort zone! The trip will be full of cultural experiences, adventurous excursions, and opportunities to take part in local ministries that support the community in Quito. While I'm abroad, I hope to learn how to relate to others more deeply through cross-cultural interactions and grow academically, personally, and spiritually, allowing this season to truly shape the kind of person I become.Ā
I will be doing an internship in the field of Psychology in Quito, taking classes that will contribute to my degree, and experiencing student life as a part of the Living and Learning International program.Ā I will also have the amazing opportunity to do a 4 week homestay with an Ecuadorian family! I am expecting this to be a significant part of the trip where I will be able to learn about the culture, connect with the family, and practice my Spanish as well!
