It comes with a heavy heart that we update the story of Joe. After 18 months of battling his cancer diagnosis, Joe passed on September 23rd 2025. Joe fought so hard, and defied all diagnosis timelines he was given. He refused to give up, projecting positivity till the very end. Joe passed at home, surrounded by his family and friends.
As Meg and June, his family, and friends work to heal from such a tremendous loss, we are driven by the sense of community that Joe lived and breathed. He showed us daily that we are all in this life together, and his belief that the success of this community is reliant on compassion, and camaraderie .
As we all grieve together, we keep Meg and June at the forefront of our hearts. The intention of these funds raised will be to keep Megan and Juniper moving forward. As we navigate lingering medical bills, time off work, and the expenses of daily life for the Hengstler girls, we must all come together as a community to be even a small part of their success.
