Huda's story, like all Gazans, is one of destruction, suffering, and displacement. On top of everything, she is 8 months pregnant, and lacks the basic necessities needed for her newborn. Below you will find her story:

Hello, my name is Huda and I am from Gaza. I graduated from the Islamic University of Gaza with a specialty in Doctor in Physical Therapy. I got married in August 2023. The occupation forces destroyed our house and my place of work, as well as my husband's. The company where he worked as a software engineer has been destroyed. We have no source of income left, and now the date of the arrival of my beautiful baby is approaching. I am Currently midway through month 8, I need access to life-saving and essential supplies. Not only for myself, but also for my beautiful baby boy who is due soon. This includes diapers, clothes, milk, a clean birthing environment, and safe drinking water. Disease, poor sanitation and lack of shelter put her family and child at risk.

Please donate and participate in my campaign so that I and my family can leave Gaza and so that my baby can have the best life.

Huda's immediate needs are food, water, and the essential items needed to bring a baby into this world. Huda had just started her life, getting a doctorate degree, married, and pregnant, right before the occupation destroyed everything. The least we can do for this beautiful woman and her family is donate for basic necessities. Money may also be used for evacuation once the border with Egypt opens.

Please reach out to me, Tasia Hinojos, if you have any questions about the campaign. Rest assured that every dollar will go to Huda other than processing fees.

Fundraiser Updates (5)

August 30, 2025
Tasia Hinojos
Tasia Hinojos

Message from Huda:

I am sending this update because I no longer have any other means.

Because I'm in the middle of a war, screaming—and no one is listening.

There were good friends on Instagram... people who stood by me, supported me, and gave me hope when I was losing it. But after my Instagram account was blocked multiple times and the constant restrictions on my donation links and my accounts, I lost touch with them. I can't communicate with them anymore. I can't tell them I'm still here—still trying to survive, still trying to feed my little one, still clinging to pain and silence.

I didn't send this message to beg again.

I did it because I'm still in need.

Because I believe deep down that kind hearts don't forget.

Those who once felt my pain won't leave me halfway there.

I am sending this message today with dignity, not despair. With truth, not manipulation.

All I hope for... is for my voice to be heard again—only to those who once believed in me.

Now, my child and I are suffering from severe influenza and a lack of proper medical care. My body is still fragile after giving birth; I have yet to recover. I am in pain. My child is crying from the pain, exhaustion, and lack of medical supplies, while I have nothing left to offer him...

We were in the hospital a week ago because Mohammed was suffering from severe pneumonia, wheezing, high blood pressure, and a lack of medication (the UNRWA clinic referred me to the Al-Awda Hospital inpatient ward).

But today... his condition has worsened. His chest is wheezing and he is tired, and he needs inhalers and medication. Because of my ban, I cannot provide the necessary medication for my child.

Please read this. Share it. Let the world know that we are still here, still fighting.

I lost my home, my job, my stability... I cannot lose my child. They are all I have left.

If you can help—even a little—you could be the reason my family survives.

I beg everyone who sees this and acts with compassion to receive mercy, health, and protection. Please... don't let our cry go in vain. Time is running out.

I gave birth to my child... but his joy was short-lived.

More than 650 days of war have passed.

No shelter. No food. No work. No income.

Only fear, silence, and pain... and hope, gently planted in the hearts of people like you.

And I... can barely bear it. I suffer from high blood pressure and am currently five months pregnant. The doctor told me to take care of my body because I am at risk of preeclampsia. I lost 7 kilograms in just one month due to starvation. My body has collapsed. I need supplements and vitamins. I need fresh, healthy food.

But I can't even afford a single kilogram of food.

Does anyone feel our hunger? Does anyone hear our thirst?

All I ask for is mercy.

All I want is to keep my child alive.

All I want is to live with dignity.

If this war were to end, I would never ask for help. All I want is to live. But the war isn't over... and we're still here.

To everyone reading this:

If you can help provide food, medicine, or hope—even a small amount—you could save our lives.

We're still alive. Just barely.

Will you be the reason we live another day?

May peace and blessings be upon you all-- this is Tasia with another update. The apocalyptic conditions have only worsened since my last update. Most of Gaza is in a stage 5 famine, with irreversible effects to the body because of going on 4 months of a complete blockade of food, water, medicine, etc. The commission to withdraw cash is 45 percent and the cost of everything is unimaginably high. 100 dollars might last a family a few days, if that. Lucky families are eating one meal of bread and lentils a day, while others are going days without eating. This is a time when our solidarity is required more than ever. It is our obligation to send every penny possible to keep Huda and other Gazans from entering the most dangerous level of famine.

Huda recently found out she is pregnant. We must make sure that she has as much nutrition as possible for herself and her growing baby.

Recently, Huda lost 8 family members during a horrific massacre. The horrors never end.

Also, because of the extremely high price of diapers, Huda has been forced to use nylon for baby Mohammed, leading to a very painful rash. He stays up crying at night in pain. She needs money for medication.

This is a time in history that will be remembered for the rest of our lives. We have an obligation to do all we can, which includes financial sacrifice to keep Palestinians fed during this famine.

May God bless all those who stand with Palestine.

It has now been 77 days since any food has entered Gaza. The situation is no longer just a crisis — it is apocalyptic. Huda, Ibrahim, and baby Mohammed, are trapped in unimaginable conditions, with nothing left to eat.

As if the starvation wasn’t enough, there are relentless massacres happening every single day. People are not only dying from hunger, but from constant bombardment and violence. There is no safe place, no refuge, and no relief.

The cost of survival is staggering. A single bag of flour now costs around $750. A single meal for a family of eight is costing around $70 — if food can even be found. People are risking everything just to get a small bite to eat.

Please, if you’re reading this, we are begging you — give whatever you can. Every dollar counts. Every donation can mean one more day that baby Mohammed goes to sleep with something in his stomach. If we cannot stop the bombs, the very least we can do is make sure they have food. And if you are unable to give, please pray. Pray that aid gets through. Pray that this nightmare ends. They are starving. We cannot ignore their cries.

Two important updates from Huda:
I want to share with you the wonderful news that I gave birth to my baby "Mohammed" on July 28, 2024, despite the difficult circumstances during childbirth and the lack of necessary health services in hospitals, my baby is now two and a half months old, my baby's need for basic items such as (winter clothes, diapers and milk) is increasing, the prices are very high, a diaper pack contains 40 pieces for $70, milk is $30 and clothes are also very expensive, and my family also needs fresh food and mineral water. Your generosity and support means the world to us. Please donate what you can.

Five days ago we received evacuation orders for our area north of Nuseirat camp. We do not know where to go or what to do. There is no safe place as the occupation claims. My family and I have no shelter and we do not have a tent to protect us from the cold of the coming winter. Please pray for my family and donate to ensure our safety.

Huda is entering her 9th month of pregnancy and still needs diapers and formula (for the chance that a nutrient deficiency leads to a reduced milk supply). The cost of everything remains high, including fresh food and mineral water, which will be necessary for birth and the sustained energy required during breast feeding. Please continue to support Huda by sharing and donating. Thank you. May you be blessed beyond measure.
