The Ark is a local nonprofit providing a food pantry, hot meals, medical and dental care, financial and social services, and more to clients from Jewish households throughout Chicago. The pantry is especially cool because it provides not just food that the clients get to choose each month, but also essential items like diapers, shampoo, and toothpaste that government benefits won't cover.
I've been volunteering at the Ark food pantry and Cafe Ark over the past few months. We've unloaded boxes, helped with inventory, and sorted and packed food and other items. It feels really good to support our Jewish community. When we served at Cafe Ark, I loved meeting the clients and could see how much they appreciated the dinner.
I hope you will consider making any size donation, no matter how small, if you feel you can afford it. The Ark clients can't afford everything they need, so any help is appreciated. Thank you!
