As many of you know, immigration enforcement has been affecting many Hispanic families, and unfortunately, my family has been impacted as well.
My two uncles were detained by ICE on their way to work, just like they did every other morning. This unexpected and heartbreaking situation has left our family struggling both emotionally and financially.
My aunts, Mercedes Neponuceno and Aracely Gamez, are now having to navigate life without the people who have been the main providers for their families. Between them, they are caring for five children, all 7 years old and under, while trying to manage the financial responsibilities that have suddenly fallen on their shoulders.
We are asking for your help during this incredibly difficult time. The money raised will be split between my two aunts and will help cover essential expenses such as bills, gas, diapers, groceries, and other necessities as they work to support their families while this nightmare continues.
