My brother, Kevin Mathis, woke to a phone call from the fire department in Fort Walton Beach, FL that his Martial Arts School was on fire. The awesome Fire Department broke in the glass doors and put the fire out quickly! The building is salvagable but all the contents are destroyed. He is having to start from scratch with a blank canvas. No equipment, no office, no mats, nothing! The smoke damage to the majority of the contents was the worse. This business is the origional business my father started back in 1980! Our family has been sharing Martial arts with this community for 45 years. My brother and I grew up teaching there and now the third generation of martial artists from our family teach their as well. I own, along with my adult children, Olson's Martial Arts Academy in Johnson City, TN. Martial Arts and helping build a strong confident person and strong healthy community is our lifes work.
