Single Mother of 2 Recovering After Everything Was Stolen
Story:
Hello, my name is Sorour. On August 14, 2025, my purse was stolen, and it has left me and my children in a devastating situation. Inside my purse was everything important to our lives:

My driver’s license and Social Security card

My children’s Social Security cards, birth certificates, and Medicaid cards

Our food stamp card with $500 in benefits, which the thief used up right away

My debit card, which was charged without my permission

My phone, which I rely on every day

$200 in cash that I had set aside for groceries and bills
This theft has taken away not just money, but also our stability and security. I filed a police report, but I was told I must wait for a detective, and the stolen SNAP benefits and cash will likely not be replaced.
On top of this, I am a single mother of two children, and I am also battling rheumatoid arthritis, which makes it difficult for me to work and manage daily life. This has left us in a very desperate position.
I am raising funds to help us:

Buy food and essentials for my kids

Replace all the stolen IDs, birth certificates, and medical cards

Cover the stolen cash that was meant for bills and groceries

Replace my stolen phone so I can manage my health and family needs
