The Heart Behind Lambo’s Kitchen LLC
Hello, my name is Jamarcus Brown, and I’m the proud owner of Lambo’s Kitchen LLC. My journey with cooking began at the young age of 11, where I developed a deep passion for creating delicious meals. What started as me cooking for family and friends soon grew into something bigger, something I could have never imagined.
In January 2023, my life took an unexpected turn. I received a call from Grady Hospital, informing me that my father had fallen into a coma. Faced with a tough decision, my job gave me an ultimatum: if I left to check on my father’s health, I would lose my job. Without hesitation, I chose my family and, as a result, was let go from my position. Losing my job brought on a series of hardships, but instead of giving up, I decided to turn a difficult situation into an opportunity.
I found myself cooking hibachi for my family, and to my surprise, they loved it. My mother and sister encouraged me to take a leap of faith and sell plates to make ends meet. Taking their advice, I sold my first plates, and to my amazement, the support was overwhelming. Local friends and family rallied around me, and from that moment, Lambo’s Kitchen LLC was born, known for our famous smash burgers and quesadillas.
In just one year, I’ve had the privilege to cater for numerous events, from graduation parties to grand openings and community awareness events. My very first event—selling hibachi plates— was a turning point. I sold nearly 70 plates and made a $1,200 profit. That day, I realized my true passion wasn’t just cooking, but also bringing people together with food.
Now, my dream is to grow Lambo’s Kitchen LLC even further. My goal is to provide quality food to my city and surrounding counties, and ultimately, open up a bar and grill that people can gather, laugh, and create memories in.
Every step of this journey has been a testament to the strength of community, family, and perseverance. I am grateful for the love and support I’ve received, and I’m asking for your help to continue growing my dream.
