On July 13, my daughter Cody was shot while performing her duties as a Crime Scene Technician. This has been a deeply challenging time for her and our family. Cody's injury to her right arm required several surgeries, and now she faces a difficult road to recovery. Medical care is covered by workers’ compensation, but the financial strain of lost income, daily expenses, transportation, and additional support during her healing period is significant.
Cody has always been someone who helps others at every turn, so relying on help from loved ones and the community doesn't come easily for her. Yet, now she needs the support she's so often given. While the Knoxville Police Department has set up an account for in-person donations, this online fundraiser is for those who cannot donate in person. Your support means Cody can focus wholeheartedly on her recovery both physically and mentally.
