You are receiving this Fundraiser because at some point in your life, large or small, you know or have known Frances Holmes. Many of you know, but some of you may not know that Frances was diagnosed with cancer of the appendix April of 2024 which led to removal of 1/3 of her colon. She faired very well after that gaining strength and resilience such that she climbed to 8,000 feet in Canada just 2.5 months after surgery.
This year in January a CT scan revealed return of 2 masses and Frances now needs systemic treatment of chemotherapy. She has had a stent placement in her L kidney ureter which was blocked by the 2nd smaller mass and has been recovering from recurrent urinary infections since then. Once this infection is clear she will have a port placed and start chemotherapy.
Frances will also continue with various adjunctive treatments along with her mainstream care: integrative oncology, acupuncture, mistletoe therapy, other medications, intravenous high dose Vitamin C and more. All of this costs money and Franny's usual work schedule may need to be modified.
