On Saturday October 7th, a Hamas rocket hit Marina's apartment in Tel Aviv. This devastating incident left Marina with injuries to her spine and legs, she was evacuated and was rushed to the ICU and underwent two surgeries. Marina was unconscious for 24 hour and luckily does not have permanent brain damage. Though many uncertainties lie ahead, Marina has shown immense resilience, regained consciousness and is communicating with loved ones from her hospital bed.
Marina has dedicated her life to serving others. She proudly served as a combat soldier and commander in the K-9 unit, and for years she has been a pillar of support for at-risk youth, offering them unwavering love, laughter and friendship. She is also pursuing her passion for art and psychology at the Open University.
Marina is best known for her strong moral compass, boundless generosity and unwavering dedication to her community. She is an inspiration to those who know her and it's clear that she did not deserve this tragedy.
Marina's apartment, along with her cherished belongings and a lifetime's worth of artwork and sentimental items, was completely destroyed.
