Little do these chow chow’s know that hopefully from today 12.17.21 forward, everyday will be brighter, less painful, more exciting, and happy.
-what we know, officers responded to see two chow chows in a state of visual neglect.
-Many chows were running around loose and unaltered.
- the officer was able to get the owner to surrender the two chows that appeared to need emergency veterinary care as soon as possible.
-They are named Cheyanne and Prince.
- the owner is said to love the dogs and is reluctant to part with them but, was happy that the shelter had a Chow Rescue contact for them to go to.

- the following day a female chow and 3 puppies were also surrendered to our rescue by the same man.
- Animal Control believes there may be 11 more and they are working with the owner to allow assistance so the dogs can’t get medical care and be placed in chow knowledge homes. They hope the owner will surrender the animals as he sees it likely is in the dogs best interest.
We are preparing to take in 10-16 chows so we need to start fundraising right away.
Cheyanne and Prince are already hospitalized and only minor medical notes are detailed in the video.
It was originally thought Prince may need humane euthanasia due to discomfort with walking and being attacked by another dog however, our vet is optimistic we can help him.

You can also call the vet directly however, they may be moved to a specialist if needed. But, regardless any donations made to our vet account can go towards helping the other chows that hopefully will be surrendered.
