For those of you who were blessed to visit, live, break bread, or camp out at our family home (St. Andrews West) at some point over the last 75 years, I bring you devastating news... The Palisades fire has left us, and ALL OUR PALISADIAN friends, without a home or community.
St. Andrews West was not just our home, it was a ministry, a haven, a healing sanctuary, and my brother's and my sole source of income.
My father, Gene Andrews, better known as "Pops" was a fixture in the Palisades. Our home was one of the first homes built in this community. Unfortunately we are heavily underinsured and we're taking the advice of friends who are all looking for, and suggesting, creative ways to ask for help.
This is the last place I ever saw myself; humbled to reach out (as many of you know my family was very accustomed to being the ones who would offer assistance) but we're doing what we can in the midst of this devastation to ask for support as we try and prepare for our uncertain future. Thank you for thinking of us, praying for us, and any support you can give as we dream hopefully of rebuilding in the future.
