Baby Bristol Jane Thomas
Hi, my name is Bonnie and I am raising money for Keagan and Madi Thomas, my daughter and son in law. They are expecting their first baby girl at the end of October and after receiving the news their baby would be born with a rare congenital birth defect their lives are going to change. This sweet baby is going to require surgery immediately following her birth by a facility in St. Petersburg Florida. This birth defect, CDH ( congenital diaphragmatic hernia) affects 1/3000 births. Madi and Keagan will have to relocate to Florida the first of October and spend anywhere from 8 to 16 weeks there, depending on the severity of the complications from the defect. If the baby requires an ECMO machine this will be extremely costly and as you know insurance doesn’t cover everything. It’s approximately 1 million dollars for this life saving device. While we are hoping for the best they will both have to take a leave of absence from their jobs and find a way for housing and food, on top of the medical expenses that will be piling up. This is a very stressful time for them and while they do have a supportive family it will take a village to see them through. Please help this unborn baby and her family with easing the burden so they can focus on her care and not the financial burden that will be coming with it.
