Hello, my name is Roy Holmes, and I’m reaching out to you with a heart full of hope and determination. My dream is to start my own catering service, a passion that has been nurtured through years of hard work, resilience, and the desire to create a better life for my family.
Growing up, life was often a struggle. I didn’t have a father figure to guide me, and I navigated my youth without the support that many take for granted. My journey took a difficult turn, leading me to the California Youth Authority as a troubled teen. However, that chapter of my life taught me invaluable lessons about perseverance and redemption. I've turned my life around, overcoming challenges that seemed insurmountable.
Today, I’m a proud father, dedicated to teaching my children the values of hard work and determination. Despite my past, I’ve always aimed to provide them with the best opportunities possible. Unfortunately, securing stable employment has been a challenge due to my history, but I refuse to let that define me. I’ve remained focused on my goals and have taken a significant step forward by moving from Stockton, California, to Houston, Texas, fueled by faith and the ambition to start my catering company.
I have saved some money and obtained my business license, and I have everything I need to bring my culinary dreams to life. However, to get my catering service off the ground, I need a little extra help. I’m not asking for a handout just a hand up as I navigate this challenging yet exciting journey.
