Our family dog is fighting to heal after a heartbreaking accident, and we’re desperate to get him the care he needs. On Wednesday night, my husband was driving with our daughter and our dog, who was happily sitting in the front seat with his head out the window enjoying the weather. Sadly, he slipped on the door and fell from the truck, landing on the road. He suffered severe road rash under his tail, along with cuts and scrapes on his face and legs.
When I rushed him to the vet, the doctor told me his care would cost a little over $1,700. This includes urgent care, sedation, wound cleaning, laceration repair, medications, and X-rays to check for internal injuries.
