Help Celeste & River Survive Housing Loss & Chronic Illness Crisis
Hey guys I’m Celeste (she/her), and my partner River (they) and I are in an urgent housing crisis. We’ve just been completely cut off from all financial support, and we have nowhere safe to go. I’m chronically ill and disabled with severe environmental sensitivities — including asthma, MCAS, and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome — which make it incredibly difficult to survive in most spaces.
I lived in a car for a year due to how sensitive I am to my environments. Unfortunately that car has been sold. And we have tried everything under the sun to explore other options for housing but my chronic illness and is serious and makes most places inaccessible. That being said we finally found a stable place for me to be. But our hotel doubled in price unexpectedly, and our financial support has been cut off so we’re now out of money with nowhere safe to sleep. River’s new job doesn’t pay until next week, and we have no credit left, no access to a home I can safely stay in, and no stable shelter.
We’re out of options — except for community.
⸻
Why This Is So Urgent
• We need a safe place to sleep tonight
• I can’t be in most cars, houses, or public shelters due to severe chemical and mold sensitivities
• Our only tolerable shelter right now is a rental car that we can barely afford for another day
• River is working and we’re doing everything we can to stabilize — but we need a bridge to get there
⸻
What Your Donation Will Go Toward
• Shelter for the next 7–10 days (motel or rental car)
• Food, water, and meds to keep me stable
• Gas + basic supplies
• Transition costs to help us find safer, lower-cost housing once River’s job begins to provide consistent pay
Every dollar helps. Even $5 or $10 makes a huge difference. If you can’t donate, sharing this with your community means the world.

🩵 Why We’re Asking
We’ve fought hard for stability. I’ve lived in a car for a year before, I didn’t survive that just to give up now. We’re resourceful, resilient, and full of hope. We just need help getting over this uncertain gap until we can build something safer.
Thank you for seeing us.
With so much love,
Celeste & River
