Changing my story to a success story is thee goal. At this moment I have made much progress AND growth, however, a little help could make all the difference.
This chapter starts in 2019. I am a licensed hairstylist of 15 years at this time. I jump into a brand new salon, then an old one (both incredibly amazing) and am working at both, one stretch over 30 days with out a day off. What an opportunity I was in the midst of. See, being in the San Francisco salon scene behind the chair, was and is one of the best career opportunities and life one could ask for. Humbly I loved this enchanted life, Taking it head on. Now, as a new stylist, one must build there clientele which generally takes average 2-2.5 years
its now about 6 months in and I am way ahead of the game. The owner of one salon so impressed. It felt great. Now I’m making a world record at building a clientele (world’s greatest ;); and almost have a full clientele making a career for myself. I’ve invested a year of blood sweat and tears, savings, everything I got into this. And it all just vanished, yes Covid. Business shit down, people left in droves.
And now the finish line, I also moved, and after a year and a half of working not as a hair stylist, I have jumped back in, making better choices, believing in myself, believing in the cosmetology academia and salon owners. Big and small. And still want to try owning my own small part in the salon life. Hair by Ashley Nichole is my business name.
I only work for a cause now, not a salon owner, not a company, not for a paycheck, While truly believing that what I do brings so much joy to people everyday. Hard labor is my choice. And I plan on working hard for a lot longer. But also working a lot smarter now too! Lol.
There is no finish line no end and no failure if you keep trying. It’s about the journey, a loss or a gain can bring you appreciation in your life.
so now as a new sole proprietor hair stylist. I am building again, better, stronger, smarter, steady, and kindly ask for any support.
thank you
