My name is Casey and this is my story. At the start of the covid pandemic I had to undergo open heart surgery, for a mitral valve replacement. According to the doctors my valve was extremely damaged by the radiation and chemotherapy I received in 2013. I made it through surgery and healed very quickly. I ended up getting a really good job and things began to finally get better. I manage to get a car and then an apartment. I have done everything I can to keep and maintain my car and the new apartment for 3 years with no problems. I made it to 2023, blessed, or so I felt and that's when my life got turned upside down. August 22, 2023 my car was stolen. I made a police report but that didn't get my car back. Due to my car being stolen I wasn't able to get back and forth to work so September I lost my job. Since then I have been deeply struggling trying to find another job to pay my bills. My mental status declined and it seemed my biggest fear was coming true. December of last year my landlord proceeded to inform me that even though he had been working with me on my bills he had made the decision to sell the apartments. I have 7 cats and absolutely no where to go, this apartment was everything for me and these cats, my babies. As of yesterday my landlord informed me that even tho he had been working with me the new owner of the apartments wanted everyone out who owed rent. Now I have less than a month to come up with $6500 in order to keep my home. I have put numerous job applications in and I have literally done everything I could to get a job to pay my bills but i have t had a single bit of luck getting a call back. Iv never been one to ask people for help, I've always managed one way or another but now not only my life but my cats lives are at stake because all of the animal shelters here are not taking any animals. I do not want to be homeless and I do not want any thing bad to happen to these cats I saved. I would be so extremely grateful and appreciative if someone could help me by saving my apartment.
