DEION BRANCH TACKLES MENINGITIS
Please join Deion Branch as he looks to tackle Meningitis, a disease affecting hundreds of thousands a year, and one that has directly affected his own family. With one of his twin boys suffering from the disease after birth, leaving him without the ability to walk or talk. Doctors gave him 6 months to live. Deiondre is now 17. Seeing first hand how vital the appropriate care and treatment are for young children stricken with the disease, Deion set out to start The Deion Branch Foundation.
The Deion Branch Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to offer support to children’s mental, physical, and emotional well-being by assisting programs and initiatives aimed at improving their quality of life.
The foundation actively supports organizations committed to assisting meningitis victims, particularly infected children. Previous benefactors were The Home of the Innocents. In addition, the Deion Branch Foundation is dedicated to promoting the emotional well-being of disenfranchised children by supporting Tree house for Kids and Zion Preparatory Academy during annual toy and Thanksgiving drives during the holiday season. The Home of the Innocents is an organization dedicated to improving the lives of abandoned, abused, neglected and medically fragile children. Since meningitis causes inflammation in the brain and spinal cord, many survivors are permanently and severely disabled and The Home of the Innocents provides thousands of children with the round-the-clock care they require to make it through each year.
