This World Water Day, HBSA is asking the Harbor Branch community to come together in support of something that connects all of our work, clean, healthy water. Whether in the lab, the field, or through outreach, we all understand how critical water quality is to our ecosystems, research, and coastal communities. This 5K is an opportunity for us to turn that shared purpose into action. Donations from our Harbor Branch community will directly support efforts to improve water quality, reduce pollution, and protect the waterways we study and care about. Any amount makes a difference, and your support helps extend the impact of our work beyond research and into real, meaningful change. All donations will be donated to the Water Project which is a nonprofit that works to improve access to clean, safe water through sustainable solutions like well construction, sanitation improvements, and hygiene education. By supporting this effort, we help protect both human health and the environment while creating long-term, community-driven change.
