Rose is a vibrant and outgoing sixteen year old from Craig, Colorado. In October of 2025, Rose was diagnosed with cancer after a CAT scan revealed a malignant tumor in her left lung. It is an aggressive and fast-moving cancer, and after two unsuccessful surgeries we are moving to the next stage of treatment, which is chemotherapy. Her medical team is acting fast to prevent the spread of cancer to her vital organs.
Rose is scheduled to start methotrexate chemotherapy in early November. She is being cared for by the fantastic Oncology team at UC Health in Aurora, Colorado. We do have medical insurance so the bulk of Rose’s treatment is covered, but we are expecting significant out-of-pocket costs in covering copays and extra expenses while funding Rose’s recovery.
Your generosity and support during this challenging time is appreciated, and means that we can give Rose the care she requires as her needs arise, without having to figure out financial barriers. I am a single mother who is the sole guardian and financial provider to my three children. Rose is my middle daughter and I will need to readjust our whole family life to get Rose through this. Without financial help, I don’t know how we will navigate this path.
