Hi everyone, I normally don’t ask for help, but I’m at a point where I honestly need it.
This truck means a lot to me because it was built by my grandpa before he passed away. It’s more than just a vehicle to me it’s something I’ve been trying hard to keep alive and on the road in his memory.
The truck currently has a blown 1999 350 Vortec motor, and this is now the third time the engine has failed. The setup just can’t properly handle the weight of the lifted Suburban and the 33-inch tires. The power-to-weight ratio keeps causing major problems, including bent valves and piston damage.
I’ve repaired it multiple times already, but at this point I can’t keep throwing money into rebuilding the same engine just for it to fail again.
What I really need is a stronger, more reliable motor setup that can actually handle the truck without constantly blowing up. Unfortunately, with how expensive everything is right now, I simply can’t afford the proper engine swap on my own.
