Hi, my name is Briana, and I’m asking for help during an unexpected housing crisis my family and I are facing.
We had to move out of our previous home because our landlord decided to sell the property. After searching, we found another home to lease, signed a contract, and paid the required move-in costs. The home wasn’t going to be available until the 7th, so in the meantime, my family and I have been staying in a hotel since the 15th.
Just this morning, I was informed that the home will no longer be available for rent at all. While I was told my money will be returned, it can take up to 30 days to receive the refund.
The problem is that we are now completely out of money, still in a hotel, and have nowhere else to go. Without immediate help, my family and I will quite literally be on the street.
I am asking for help to cover temporary lodging and basic needs until my money is returned so I can secure another rental for my family. Any donation—no matter how small—would help keep us safe and off the streets during this gap.
