Hey y'all! I’m Payton Lang, your Miss Palmetto. I am a public policy professional, proud daughter, life-long dancer, dog mom to a shihpoo named Louis, and self-proclaimed dork with a heart for service.

My road to the Miss South Carolina stage has been anything but traditional. After losing 140 pounds and reversing prediabetes, I found healing through health education and self-advocacy. That inspired me to create Thrive in EveryBODY: Health that Fits You to help others take charge of their health in ways that are personal, practical, and full of grace.

As Miss Palmetto, I am sharing my story to remind others that your hardest chapters can become your greatest calling. I would be so grateful for your vote for People's Choice. Your support means the world and helps make scholarships and chasing your dreams possible for young women across the State of South Carolina.

The Miss South Carolina Scholarship Organization, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(4) non-profit organization and an official state program of the Miss America Opportunity.
