Garrett and Ryder have both had hard lives. I’ve known Garrett since he was 4; his Mom was one of my closest friends. She died on Mother’s Day in 2021 at the age of 50 when Garrett was 24. His sweet mother had been raising Garrett’s nephew and younger sister when she died. His older brother, Ryder’s Dad, is currently incarcerated and his Mom is not a safe person. Garrett took in both kids without hesitation. He currently would like to adopt Ryder; however, the expenses involved are out of his reach. Due to the specifics of Ryder’s parent’s situation, Garrett has never received any financial support for his nephew. He didn’t ask for this. I volunteered to see if this was a goal we could reach for him. He’s a good man doing a very difficult thing for all the right reasons. We would greatly appreciate any and all donations.
