I never thought I'd be in a position where asking for help was my only option. On Saturday May 2, I was overwhelmed with severe stomach pain and went to my local ER here in WV. I'd suspected it was an ulcer, but doctors suspected a more serious diagnosis. Further tests revealed masses involving multiple organs in my abdomen. I was then transferred to WVU Ruby Medical Center, for further testing which indicated a suspected cancer diagnosis. The wait for the official pathology results feels endless, and I'm trying to brace myself for what might come.
Being close to home is now more important than ever. My daughter, Chloe, is about to turn 13 at the end of this month. I need to be there for her, creating warm memories despite the uncertainty we face. Balancing treatments while trying to keep Chloe’s life as normal as possible is a challenge I never foresaw.
I'm asking for your help to raise $7,500 to assist the transition back to Lancaster and cover any ongoing treatment costs. Home is where we can draw strength from family and friends.
