Hello everyone. Tawnya Hadden here. Four years ago I was diagnosed with a lung disease called ILD. My Pulmonologist put me on a medication to slow the disease, since there isn’t a cure.
Unfortunately, the medication did not slow the progression down. I was sent to UCSF in September of 2024. I have been doing a lot of things to get ready for a Double Lung Transplant. I have a few more tests and then will be put on the list to get new lungs.
Once having the surgery, I will have to stay 8-10 weeks in the San Francisco area for recovery.
My family and I have decided to reach out to everyone for a little help during this difficult time. All monies will be used for accommodations and any unforeseen medical bills
