This October, we were lucky enough to spend time in Cape Town as South Africa was just opening up to tourists.
We made great friends and one of our favorites was our tour guide Alain. He shared that South Africans and particularly Capetonians were so happy to see Tourists back and that the struggle over the past year and a half has been very challenging for him and his family, as they were not eligible for government assistance.
In recent weeks, the European and North American travel bans have been reinstated which is during their busiest summer season. This is devastating to Alain and his family.
We would love to support Alain, his wife and two girls, and help to make sure that they have a happy Christmas and can cover expenses until the bans ease.
