Aside from disasters and medical emergencies, I’m not a fan of things like GoFundMe et al when it comes to using it for reasons similar to mine. I got my pride and this is a bit embarrassing for me. Frankly, it feels like e-Begging.
As you all know I’m a construction worker. I don’t work for any Labor Union or large company so I find work when and where I can: feast or famine. Most of last year was hit and miss while 2024 was rough for many in the trades with long periods without work and layoffs. While work consistency has recently improved on average they’re still hit and miss. That’s why I decided to start this thing.
My youngest daughter Kaleigh Jane is graduating from Bentonville High School in Bentonville, Arkansas. The Graduation Ceremony is to be held on Saturday May 16th at 6:00pm. My hope is to be able to purchase a round-trip flight, car rental service for a couple days and the cheapest hotel I can find via a Priceline.com package. This would be the first time I’ll be setting foot in Arkansas and hope to be able to spend time with both of my daughters and at least be able to take them to do a few things.
To those who are able to contribute to this fund, please make note of your contribution as I’m not asking for a hand out as much a short term loan thrown into a metaphorical hat, for which you’ll be reimbursed later. Again, I got my pride.
