A toddler is deceased tonight,— after being ran over in a Kansas City drive way!
Earlier this afternoon, KCPD officers responded to a crash near 96th Terrace and James A. Reed Road. Upon arrival, they found a toddler struck in a residential driveway.
According to police, the toddler was hit and run over by an SUV in the driveway. Tragically, the toddler was taken to the hospital but pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating fully with the authorities.
The police suspect that the child accidentally wandered outside and the driver failed to notice them after exiting the driveway.
Sending my condolences to the family and all involved.
