Help a Mother and Her Four Children Recover After the Tornado
I am a mother of four children, I am facing an incredibly difficult situation after being caught in the devastating tornado that impacted Gary, Indiana.
I am doing everything I can to keep my children safe and cared for, but right now, I need some help. My youngest child is only three years old and requires breathing treatments, making access to safe housing, medical care, food, and a stable environment is especially important.
In the aftermath of this disaster, my little family is in urgent need of basic necessities, including food, clothing, temporary housing, household essentials, and resources to help care for the children while I work toward getting back on our feet. I haven’t been able to go to work because of my children being out of school due to no power in my community and surrounding communities.
No mother should have to face the uncertainty of wondering where her children will sleep, how I will provide their next meal, or how I will meet my youngest child’s medical needs after losing stability because of a natural disaster.
