On July 18, 2025, our lives changed in an instant. My husband was heading back to work after proudly attending our son’s pre-K graduation when an 18-wheeler ran a red light and crashed into him, completely totaling his vehicle.
While we are so grateful he is alive, this accident has placed a huge financial burden on our family. We’ve hired an attorney to fight for justice, but we’ve been told that any financial help from that route could take months or even years to come through. In the meantime, we are struggling to cover expenses and need a reliable vehicle for my husband to get to and from work.
We’re asking for your help to:
• Cover immediate expenses caused by the accident
• Raise enough funds to attempt to catch up on debt accrued from lost wages for Austin’s treatment/care which takes place twice a week.
- *new need* Expenses for counseling/therapy that we need for ourselves and our family
That is about all I have the energy to share publically.
We know times are hard for everyone, and any donation, no matter how small, will truly help us begin to rebuild. I have set the goal for $5,000, simply because I know it’s more than that, but I’m believing that God is in the midst and will supply our every need through our village. If you can’t donate, simply sharing this campaign would mean the world to us. And if you know of someone who has a little running car for sale, let us know!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, prayers, and kindness during this difficult time.
The Van Dries Family
As of November 7, 2025: we still have not had any movement for the property side of the lawsuit due to the “other side” lack of communication. We are still in the hole and taking life one swing at a time.
