Message from friend: Linda is a close friend of my mother. My mom met Linda while they were both detained by immigration, and during that very difficult time, they formed a special friendship. Even after everything they have been through, that friendship has continued.
Linda is a mother of two young daughters who need their mom. She has now been detained by immigration for almost a year, and because she has been unable to care for her children, her two young daughters have been placed in the care of the state.
Linda recently appeared before an immigration judge and had a request denied that she had filed in hopes of avoiding deportation. We are now trying to raise money so she can hire an immigration attorney to review her case and determine whether she can appeal the decision or pursue any other legal option to avoid deportation.
Linda is not just a case number. She is a mother, a friend, and a person who has people who love her and are fighting for her. We want to give her the opportunity to have an attorney fight for her and, most importantly, the chance to return
