My big, lovable best friend, Appa, recently went through a life-threatening emergency. He was diagnosed with GDV (Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus), also known as bloat, while also having an intestinal obstruction at the same time. It was a terrifying situation, but thankfully we were able to catch it in time and get him the urgent care he needed.
Appa is now on the road to recovery, and I am incredibly grateful he is still here. However, the cost of his emergency surgery and treatment has been overwhelming.
On top of this, I recently went through a major financial setback after leaving my position with the VA and transitioning to a new job. As much as I want to handle everything on my own, I am now struggling to cover both Appa’s ongoing seizure medication and this unexpected veterinary bill.
I’m asking for help to give Appa the healthy, happy life he deserves. Any support, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this page, means more than I can express.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for helping me keep my best friend by my side.
