Hi, I’m Katie 💛
First and foremost, I’m a mom — and it’s motherhood that has shaped me into the person I am today. Being a mom has stretched me, softened me, strengthened me, and taught me how to advocate fiercely, love deeply, and lead with empathy.
My husband and I have two amazing daughters. Marilyn (11) is severely autistic and nonverbal, and being her mom has changed the way I see the world. It has made me an autism advocate, a better listener, and a stronger voice for inclusion, patience, and understanding.
Evelyn (13) is passionate about theater, music, and dance, and her creativity fills our lives with joy, movement, and a lot of time traveling all around Chautauqua County for rehearsals, school, and performances.
I’m also an elementary music teacher in Chautauqua County and have been teaching for 21 years. Music is more than my job — it’s how I connect, communicate, and create safe, inclusive spaces for children of all abilities. Being both a teacher and an autism mom has deeply shaped how I show up for my students, always leading with compassion, flexibility, and heart.
We live in Fredonia, but our life takes us everywhere — navigating school, therapy, dance, and theater across the county. Along the way, I’ve learned that community matters.
As an autism mom, having a tribe of strong, supportive women — especially other moms — is everything. The sharing, collaboration, encouragement, and grace we give one another gets us through the hardest days.
Motherhood is my why. Advocacy is my purpose. And connection is what keeps me going. 💛

- What is the point of this group? Each week a new mom will be randomly selected, the group can donate money to her *spotfund link to help with life expenses. Small act, big impact!
- Do I have to gift to be able to put my name on the list? No. There's donation or payment requirements to be eligible to put your name on the list.
- How is a mom chosen each week? Moms will ALWAYS be chosen at random (per Random.org) on LIVE through the group.
- Who can become Mom Of The Week? Anyone that is a mom and puts their name on the list to be randomly selected.
- Can I put my name on the list more than once a week? No. Once the list is closed, duplicate entries will be removed.
- Is this a lottery? No. This group offers no prizes or guarantees of gifts. We dont know how many gifts a mom will receive.
