This morning on the 6th of January 2026, my 2 brothers and I spoke on a conference call with the hospital and considering all of the medical efforts and the progression of my mothers condition, we all had to make the hardest decision of our lives. My mother has been in the hospital since thanksgiving day for respiratory failure and a hip surgery. Since then, she has been intubated all but 2 weeks and now with all efforts made to heal her lungs, there is nothing more that the medical staff can do. She had pneumonia back to back on top of her copd and lung disease and now just found out she has a spot in her lungs that they deemed is lung cancer. Her lungs are failing her and her health after battling breast cancer for the second time, has declined dramatically. This is her last week/weekend on this earth and I need all the help I can get so that I can see my mom one last time. I’m 2 hours away and your donations will be going towards gas, food, hotel stay and a little extra financial security in case I need to stay longer and for my way back.
